- We are the Porters and we are a family of five. We sailed from Anderson Island Washington In 2004 and have been living in La Paz on the baja peninsula for the past 4 years. Kevin works for Moorings as a charter captain and Allison homeschools Sam,age 13, and Isabelle, age 11, on the boat. Will, age 16, goes to school in Connecticut.
